Celebrating Five Years of Hirestaff
Five years ago, Jonny Peter’s vision took shape in his North Shore home, and Hirestaff was born. Today, as we celebrate our fifth birthday, we’re reflecting on the incredible journey that brought us to this milestone. From humble beginnings to becoming a trusted name in labour hire, Hirestaff’s story is one of growth, navigating challenges, and connecting the right people with the right opportunities - over 10,000 times!
Hirestaff Takes Shape
Founded in 2019, Jonny started HireStaff on the foundations of exceptional service, something the labour hire industry wasn’t traditionally known for. With a background in plumbing and recruitment, Jonny started supplying staff to businesses across Auckland and focused initially on the trades & construction sectors. Within a year of business, HireStaff grew from strength to strength and moved into its own office space and hired the first employee.
Five years and 2x office moves later, Hirestaff is now one of Auckland’s leading suppliers of staff to businesses in the trades, construction, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing,civil and business support sectors. In 2020, Jonny’s wife Cat left her job to join HireStaff full-time and in 2024, the team has grown from only Jonny to an incredible team of 18 people in Hirestaff’s offices in Auckland, Wellington and Waikato
